Sense & Sensibility

We will read Jane Austen's novel Sense & Sensibility, as well as learning about Jane Austen herself and the life and culture of Regency England. We'll get to know a bit about the historical and cultural background of the work, and consider how Austen asks us to think deeply about the cultivation of personal virtue. Hopefully we'll have a good time doing it because Austen is so much fun to read! There may also be tea and scones. :)
Students will need access to a physical or virtual copy of the book and will need to complete reading at home each week.
