Introduction to Chess

This class is for anyone who wants to learn the basics of playing chess. The student does not need any knowledge about chess. We will go slow, introducing a piece per week and practice playing a game using only those pieces as we learn them. Eventually we will play full chess games with all of the pieces and hopefully by the end of the co-op semester, the students will know how to play and be ready to play in the chess club, if they desire. This will be a combined class for grades 4-12.
