Geology Rocks
Introduction to geology: exploring minerals, rocks and fossils through visual inspections and hands-on learning. We will navigate the rock cycle and learn how rocks are formed.

Crochet Club^*
Join us for some crocheting fun! This semester we will continue to build on skills learned last semester while we build friendships. The teacher(s) will provide patterns and guidance as needed. Please note that students must be able to chain and single crochet. Students will need to bring their own hooks to class. This will be a combined Jr/Sr High and 4-6 grade class.

Chess Club^
This will be an organized time for students to practice chess skills and challenge peers. Chess will not be taught. Students will need to understand the basic rules of the game and moves of each chess piece. Students will need to bring a chess board and pieces to each class. This will be a combined Jr/Sr High and 4-6 grade class

Cooking With Class *
Have fun stirring, chopping, blending, mixing, and cooking 1-2 recipes each week in class! And of course, eating! Students will also play food-related trivia games and have fun learning food and kitchen safety. Recipes will be shared with families of enrolled students so students can try making the foods at home if they wish. Students with severe food allergies may wish to choose a different course, but some food allergies can be accommodated for some recipes. **Please contact the teacher prior to registering if your child has food allergies.**

Hands-On Equations
Hands-On Equations aims to demystify algebra by letting younger students learn some basic principles early through visual and hands-on fun. This program was designed to teach elementary-age students concepts that will take them far in high school math--like the principles of balance and equality and the distributive property. And they'll learn all this while playing with balances, pawns, and dice!

Recycled Art*
Recycling, reusing, repurposing! In this hands-on (and sometimes messy) class we will be using a variety of found and recyclable items to explore art and create. Some weeks students will be asked to bring an item or two from home to reuse or up-cycle and make into a whole new creation!

Create a Card Club
Students will create a card for a person of their choosing according to a theme. Each class students will bring home one card, containing several sentences of greeting and closing. The class will also practice a variety of art techniques, such as stamping, mosaics, collage, etc.

Violin/Viola/Cello Group Lessons
Violin/Viola/Cello Group Lessons New or continuing students will be accepted with prior approval from the instructor. Traditional teaching: good posture, left hand position and bow hold, good intonation; correct rhythm; use of four fingers and four strings; use of low second finger; bowings: half or whole bows, legato, détaché, staccato, legato; use of bow division; meters: 4/4, 3/4, 2/4; simple dynamic contrast. Musical fundamentals will be taught and applied to playing of solos and ensembles. Please: 1) Contact Ms. Amy Weckesser @ violinamy30@hotmail.com or 856-952-1737 BEFORE co-op starts to evaluate your child’s experience level, instrument, etc. 2) Have your instrument with you on the first day of co-op. Violin Rental (if needed) can be arranged through John Exley (856-304-7230) for $120/year (includes maintenance, strings, etc.). 3) Pay Lesson and Book Fees in full on the first day of co-op. Lesson fee: $150/child. Book fee (new students only): $20.00 These fees are payable directly to Amy Weckesser, NOT included in your co-op invoice. NOTE: If a student prefers private lessons, Amy will offer 30-minute lessons for $30/lesson.

Cross Stitch Creations*
Do you enjoy making beautiful things while chatting with friends? In this class, students can begin or develop their counted cross-stitch abilities, building creativity and friendships at the same time! Students from 4th to 12th grades are welcome, whether you have lots of experience with cross-stitch or whether you are a total beginner. Experienced cross-stitchers may wish to bring their own projects along, but everyone is also welcome to work on teacher-planned projects including Christmas ornaments and other Christmas-themed designs. All supplies for teacher-planned projects will be provided, but students may wish to bring their own small scissors for cutting thread. This will be a combined Jr/Sr High and 4-6 grade class.

Candy Science*
Willy Wonka wasn’t just a candy maker. He was a scientist! In this class we will be doing some quirky and explosive science experiments with candy and food while also learning some interesting facts and history about our favorite treats. *** There will be some food consumption in this class. I will be contacting each parent about the items that will be consumed. If there are dietary restrictions please be prepared to send in alternatives if one can not be provided or prepare your child if consumption is not allowed***

Roald Dahl Book Club
We're going to read The Enormous Crocodile (in class), Matilda, and Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. Every week we will play some fun language games to help us appreciate Roald Dahl's hilarious writing. We will talk about our favorite bits of the books, and maybe even have a related snack here and there.

Discovering Great Artists*
In this class your child will be encouraged to explore styles and techniques of the world’s greatest artists with hands-on activities. They will experience different mediums through painting, drawing, printing, sculpting, and other manipulation of art materials. Many artists will be familiar names like Frida, Pollock, and Picasso. Others will be new to them. The most important thing will be for your child to explore new art ideas and techniques. This class is inspired by the book Discovering Great Artists by MaryAnn Kohl and Kim Solga. Students will be asked to supply some materials found at home, such as a mirror, magazines, boxes or recyclables.

This class is designed to create fun felt projects that strengthen the students hand sewing skills and allow them to create fun projects such as…coin pouches, felt hair clips, felt bags, felt animals, and sew much more! Intro to Chess
This class is for anyone who wants to learn the basics of playing chess. The student does not need any knowledge about chess. We will go slow, introducing a piece per week and practice playing a game using only those pieces as we learn them. Eventually we will play full chess games with all of the pieces and hopefully by the end of the co-op semester, the students will know how to play and be ready to play in chess club, if they desire.
This will be a combined Jr/Sr High and 4-6 grade class.

All Things Small Miniatures *
Welcome to the tiny world of miniatures where we will explore the art of miniature handcrafting. In this class each student will be provided with a room box which we will furnish with handmade miniature creations. We will learn about scale, design, model making, and repurposing found objects. If you love tiny things and love craft and design, this class is for you. Come be a miniature maker and bring a tiny little world to life. Students will be asked to take some projects home to assemble and/or bring in found objects to use in class. Students may also be asked to bring in some materials such as "found" and recycled objects to be used for building. This class will require the use of hot glue guns, X-acto knives, a small hand saw, and possibly a few light power tools like a drill. **NOTE- this class is for students who are able to safely work with hot glue guns, tools, and follow directions. Please check with the teachers prior to registration if you have questions.** This class will be a continuation of Miniatures from spring semester, but we will be completing a different room with different furniture and accessories, not a repeat of the same project.
