Skyscraper Engineering

Skyscrapers are amazing! In this class we will learn some of the basic engineering concepts that go into building skyscrapers. We will examine the world's most famous tall buildings. We will learn to plot points in space to start thinking three dimensionally. Then we will experiment with building structures from various materials and work in groups in a friendly competition to build the tallest and strongest skyscrapers that we can. We will even do a challenge to build a skyscraper that can withstand an "earthquake". This class will be very hands on with lots of building and lots of fun!
